Six Bishops Win for Men's Track & Field

Six different Bishops won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Kenyon Tune-Up, hosted by Kenyon College on Friday in Gambier.

The meet, which included Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster in addition to Kenyon, was not scored.

Winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were sophomore Joel Adade (Columbus/Beechcroft), who won the 60-meter dash in :07.04 and added a second in the 200-meter dash; junior Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who won the 200-meter dash in :23.17 and placed second in the high jump; sophomore Dylan Harper (Marysville), who won the 60-meter hurdles in :08.56; sophomore Alex Bzdafka (Solon), who won the pole vault by clearing 13-5¼; junior Chinedu Melenu (Bowie, Md.), who won the triple jump with a mark of 40-7½; and junior Austin Roberts (Granville), who won the weight throw with a mark of 45-2¼.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Andrew Bentz (Marysville), who finished second in the shot put and the weight throw; freshman Nate Snead (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who was second in the 60-meter dash; junior Jake Marzulli (Medina), who placed second in the 400-meter dash; freshman Justin Gneiting (Westerville/Big Walnut), who finished second in the 60-meter hurdles; junior Griffin Sawyer (Rocky River), who was second in the pole vault; sophomore Connor Smith (Marysville), who finished third in the 200-meter dash; junior Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge), who placed third in the 60-meter hurdles; senior Logan McSwords (Marysville), who was third in the high jump; senior Mason Myers (Perrysville/Hillsdale), who finished third in the long jump; and junior Eric Schneiter (New London), who placed third in the weight throw.
