at NCAC pentathlon

Freshman Kali Kohler (Wapakoneta), junior Hazel Jollifff (Cardington/Cardington-Lincoln), and freshman Abrianna Hite (Delaware/Hayes) represented Ohio Wesleyan at the North Coast Athletic Conference pentathlon competition, hosted by Oberlin College on Sunday in Oberlin.

Kohler finished ninth with a score of 2390 points, Jolliff was 10th with 2211 points, and Hite placed 13th with 2043 points.

Kohler opened the meet by scoring 636 points in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of :10.42.  Kohler's top individual finish was a sixth-place tie in the long jump, with the leap of 15-7 good for 492 points, and Kohler finished the day with a 2:49.79 in the 800-meter run, scoring an additional 466 points.

Jolliff banked 580 points with a :10.74 in the 60-meter hurdles.  Jolliff added 470 points by clearing 4-5½ in the high jump, and finished third overall in the shot put with a throw of 32-1½, good for 516 points.

Hite closed out the meet in strong fashion, clocking a 2:38.66 in the 800-meter run to finish fourth and post 588 points.  In the penultimate event, the long jump, Hite's mark of 14-9¼ chalked up 428 points.
