Freshman Tanner Sir Louis (Wadsworth) won All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors and sophomore Joel Adade (Columbus/Beechcroft) set a school record for Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the NCAC championship meet, hosted by Oberlin College on Friday in Oberlin.

Wabash was leading the meet with 53 points to 41 for Wittenberg.  Denison was in third place with 32 points, followed by DePauw (28), Ohio Wesleyan (24), Oberlin (23), Wooster (12), Kenyon (11), and Hiram (10).

Sir Louis finished second in the pole vault, clearing 14-5¼.

Adade won his heat in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash in :06.91, the second-fastest time of the day.  The :06.91 broke the school record of :06.93 set by Colin McShane in 2014.

The Ohio Wesleyan distance medley relay team of freshman Jacob Blubaugh (Columbus/Bishop Ready), sophomore Michael Strange (High Bridge, N.J./Voorhees), senior Wes Horton (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), and sophomore Perry Jackson (Springfield/New Carlisle Tecumseh) finished eighth.

The NCAC championship meet is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
