at Jud Logan Light Giver Open

Freshman Katherine Dortmund (Westerville/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) set a school record to lead Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by Ashland University on Friday in Ashland.

Dortmund finished 13th in the 200-meter dash in :25.53.  The time broke the school record of :25.93 set by Sara Johnson in 2015.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Addie Beck (Wadsworth), who finished 18th in the pole vault with a height of 10-0.

The Ohio Wesleyan distance medley relay team of sophomore Allison Dietz (Newark), junior McKenna Downing (Pleasant Hill/Newton Local), sophomore Brianna Montgomery (Gibsonburg), and sophomore Zoe Ward (Columbus/Worthington Christian) finished fourth in 12:21.85.

The Jud Logan Light Giver Open is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
