Dortmund Highlights Women's Track & Field at Ashland

Freshman Katherine Dortmund (Westerville/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) turned in a top-10 finish to lead Ohio Wesleyan during the second day of the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by Ashland University on Saturday in Ashland.

The meet, which included competitors from Division I, Division II, and Division III institutions, was not scored.

Dortmund made the finals of the 60-meter hurdles and finished fourth in :08.74.  Dortmund also placed 13th in the 60-meter dash in :07.83.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Allison Dietz (Newark), who finished 15th in the mile run in 5:08.11; and sophomore Brianna Montgomery (Gibsonburg), who was 16th in the 800-meter run in 2:20.66.

The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of freshman Yehdeiah Dennis (Columbus/Beechcroft), freshman Kennedy Elfers (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), senior Katelyn Stapleton (Urbana/West Liberty Salem), and Montgomery finished 20th in 4:12.98.
