Sophomore Connor Smith (Marysville) won All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in leading Ohio Wesleyan during the second day of the NCAC championship meet, hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday in Oberlin.

Smith won All-NCAC honors with a second-place finish in the high jump, losing a tiebreaker after finishing in a tie for first place at 6-7½ in the event.  Smith also helped both Bishop relay teams grab all-conference recognition, teaming with sophomore Joel Adade (Columbus/Beechcroft), junior Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), and senior Mason Myers (Perrysville/Hillsdale) to finish second in the 800-meter relay, and joining forces with junior Jake Marzulli (Medina), Tripp, and sophomore Michael Strange (High Bridge, N.J./Voorhees) for a third-place finish in the 1600-meter relay.  Smith also added a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Tripp, who placed fourth in the high jump; sophomore Dylan Harper (Marysville), who was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles; Adade, who placed fifth in the 60-meter dash; junior Chinedu Melenu (Bowie, Md.), who finished seventh in the triple jump; and freshman Jacob Blubaugh (Columbus/Bishop Ready), who was eighth in the mile run.
