Junior catcher Avery Panozzo (Denver, Colo./Mullen) plated 2 runs to help Ohio Wesleyan build a 4-1 lead, but Bowdoin scored the final 10 runs of the game to take a non-conference win on Saturday in Winter Haven, Fla.

In Saturday's second game, freshman shortstop Caity Journey (Nashport/Dresden Tri-Valley) delivered a 2-run single to help the Bishops to a 6-1 lead, but Lake Forest erupted for 9 runs in the fifth inning and went on to take a win.

Journey singled in a run, Panozzo had a 2-run single, and sophomore second baseman
Shelby Morris (Centerburg) singled in a run during a 4-run second inning that gave Ohio Wesleyan a 4-1 lead.

The Polar Bears
evened the game with 3 runs in the fourth, getting RBI singles from Chloe Garcia and Anika Ewert, and took the lead with a 5-run fifth frame that included a 3-run homer by Reilly Parga.

Panozzo was 3-for-4 for Ohio Wesleyan, while Morris went 2-for-4.  Senior righthander Kaelyn Rodriguez (South El Monte, Calif.) was charged with the loss in relief.

Senior first baseman Sophie Leohner (Upper Arlington) knocked in a run in the third to break a 1-1 tie in the second game of the day.  Journey's 2-run single in the fourth and 2 unearned runs in the fifth extended the Ohio Wesleyan lead to 6-1.

Lake Forest collected 9 hits in the bottom of the fifth, including 2-run singles from Kelly Collins and Cadence Dempsey.  The Foresters added a run in the sixth on Paige Ratliff's RBI double.

Journey was 2-for-4 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Rodriguez was charged with the loss in relief
