Ferrum had 4 pitchers combine on an 8-hit shutout in a non-conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Sunday in Johnson City, Tenn.  The win gave the Panthers a sweep of the 3-game series.

Carlos Castillo doubled in a run during a 2-run first inning that put Ferrum ahead to stay, and Seth Shannon doubled and scored on a Jorge Olivo single in the second.  Castillo tripled and scored on a single by Kyle Markowitz in the fifth.

The Bishops advanced only one runner to third base, that coming in the sixth when senior outfielder Sammy Stoner (Dublin/Jerome) led off with a single, stole second, and moved to third on an infield single by senior Ryan Duckworth (Hilliard/Bradley) but was stranded there.

Junior catcher Carter Vilevac (Sheffield Village/Brookside) was 2-for-3 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Junior righthander Hank Holman (Twinsburg) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops, striking out 7 and walking none.
