Ohio Wesleyan University senior Tyler Bodovetz (Streetsboro) received Scholar All-American recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association, it was announced today by the NWCA.
Bodovetz majors in microbiology. This is the third consecutive year in which Bodovetz has received Scholar All-American recognition.
A total of 462 student-athletes were recognized as Scholar All-American selections.
To receive Scholar All-American honors, one must meet at least one criterion in each of the following categories: athletically, one must either place in the top 8 at their regional tournament or wrestle at least 15 matches with a winning percentage greater than 66.0, and academically, one must either have a grade-point average of at least 3.2 over the last 2 semesters/3 trimesters or have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2.
