Schipfer, Miller Named to D3hoops.com All-America Teams

Ohio Wesleyan University fifth-year guard Kasey Schipfer (Mechanicsburg) and sophomore post Macy Miller (Marysville/Milford Center Fairbanks) were named to the D3hoops.com All-America women's basketball teams, it was announced today by D3hoops.com.

Schipfer was a second-team All-America selection. 

Miller was a fourth-team All-America pick.

Schipfer led the North Coast Athletic Conference and ranks 25th in NCAA Division III in scoring (19.6 points/game), led the NCAC and is tied for 18th in Division III in points (550), ranked seventh in the NCAC in rebounding (6.3/game), ranked sixth in the NCAC in rebounds (175), ranked fourth in the NCAC and 26th in NCAA Division III in field goal percentage (53.4), shared the NCAC lead and is tied for 12th in NCAA Division III in field goals (219), ranked seventh in the NCAC in free throw percentage (76.4), led the NCAC in free throws (107), ranked 15th in the NCAC in assists (56), ranked 16th in the NCAC in assists per game (2.0), ranked fourth in the NCAC in steals (64), and ranked fourth in the NCAC in steals per game (2.3).  Schipfer was named NCAC Player of the Year and was a first-team All-NCAC choice for the third straight season.  Last year, Schipfer was a third-team All-America choice by D3hoops.com.

Miller led the league and is tied for 21st in NCAA Division III in steals (86), led the league and is 31st in Division III in steals per game (3.0), led the league in rebounds (252), shared the league lead and is tied for 12th in NCAA Division III in field goals (219), and ranked second in the NCAC in points (468), second in rebounding (8.7/game), third in blocked shots (1.3/game), fourth in scoring (16.1 points/game), seventh in the NCAC and tied for 44th in Division III in field goal percentage (.500), and was 13th in the conference in assists per game (2.2).  Miller was named the NCAC's Top Defensive Player and was a first-team all-conference selection. 

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 25-4 record.  The Battling Bishops won the NCAC championship with a 14-0 record, completing a conference schedule undefeated for the first time in school history, and advanced to the sectional semifinals (final 16 teams) of the NCAA Division III tournament.
