The Ohio Wesleyan men's lacrosse team got off to a fast start against Wabash and never trailed in a big win on Saturday at Selby Stadium to advance to 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.

Senior midfielder Brady Hunt (Maineville/Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy) found the back of the net first for the Bishops less than a minute into the game.  Thirty seconds later, junior attacker Will Siegenthaler (Elmhurst, Ill./York) added a second goal assisted by sophomore midfielder Henry Ross (Snoqualmie, Wash./Mount Si).  Sophomore attacker Wade Beckstrom (Devon, Pa./Conestoga) and Ross notched back-to-back goals in the 11th minute.  Five more Bishops scored a goal as the first quarter ran to a close, giving them a 10-0 lead as they entered the second.

Beckstrom kicked off the second quarter with his fourth goal of the game.  Freshman midfielder Blake Altman (Salem, Ore./Lake Oswego) added another goal 2 minutes later, which Ross followed in similar fashion.  Siegenthaler notched a man-up goal before 3 more goals were added.  Wabash finally found the back of the net to make the score 17-1.  Freshman midfielder Luke Georgelakos (Potomac, Md./Good Counsel) and sophomore attacker Carson Fialho (Pleasanton, Calif./De La Salle) both added a goal to end the first half.

The Little Giants were able to get 2 goals back in the third quarter but the Bishops remained dominant.  Sophomore midfielder Cole Tulgestke (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa) started the scoring, which Fialho and senior midfielder Mike Ostertag (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) quickly added to.  Sophomore attacker Connor Lasch (Hingham, Mass.) scored back-to-back goals in less than 30 seconds to send the Bishops into the fourth up, 26-3.

Freshman attacker-midfielder Riley Platter (Landen/Kings Mills Kings) notched his first career goal to start the final 15 minutes.  Wabash scored 3 straight goals, with Quinn Fitzgerald assisting 2 and scoring his own.  Georgelakos scored the last goal of the game with just over 3 minutes left to finish it off 28-6.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wabash, 60-18, and went a perfect 21-21 on clears.

Beckstrom led the scoring efforts with 4 goals and an assist while Altman followed with 3 goals.  Ross scored 2 goals and had 3 assists.  Six other Bishops scored 2 goals and 7 more scored once in the win.
