Sophomore infielder Luke Johnson (Cincinnati/Batavia West Clermont) doubled home 2 runs to put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard in a non-conference loss to Muskingum on Saturday in Marietta, Ohio.

The Muskies had built a 15-0 lead, getting an RBI double from Jasper Owens in the first before erupting for 8 runs in the second, with that frame highlighted by Weston Melic's grand slam.

Lex Castaneda had an RBI single in the fifth and Baret Spencer singled home a run in the sixth to help Muskingum increase its lead.

With 2 down in the bottom of the seventh, freshman outfielder Henry Isaacs (Amherst/Steele) drew a walk before singles by freshman outfielder Austin Biggin (Rootstown) and junior outfielder Jack Bates (Westerville/South) filled the sacks for Johnson.  Johnson followed with a drive down the leftfield line that scored 2 runs.

Sophomore righthander Jacob Lowery (Lyndhurst/Gilmour Academy) was the starting and losing pitcher for Ohio Wesleyan.
