Ohio Wesleyan 16, Washington & Jefferson 8

Sophomore attacker Brie Colangelo (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown School) and freshman midfielder Emma Reynolds (Delaware/Columbus Bishop Watterson) scored 2 goals apiece as Ohio Wesleyan outscored Washington & Jefferson, 5-1, during the first quarter and went on to a non-conference win on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

Colangelo scored the Bishops' first 2 goals of the game and Reynolds followed with another for a 3-0 lead midway through the opening period.  Caleigh Bogats put the Presidents on the scoreboard at the 4:36 mark of the quarter, but senior attacker Caroline Fleming (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Fayette) and Reynolds answered with scores for a 5-1 Ohio Wesleyan lead.

Bogats rang up another goal to open the second quarter, but Ohio Wesleyan scored 4 straight to close out the first half to take a 9-2 lead at the intermission.

The Bishops kept the Presidents at arm's length during the fourth quarter, with Colangelo and senior attacker Casey Conklin (Marcellus, N.Y,) scoring 2 goals apiece to help Ohio Wesleyan close out the win.

Colangelo led the Bishops with 4 goals and 4 assists, while Fleming finished with 3 goals and an assist and Conklin recorded a hat trick.  Senior Abby Markowitz (Las Vegas, Nev./Somerset Academy) finished with 8 saves.
