at Hillsdale Gina Relays

Junior McKenna Downing (Pleasant Hill/Newton Local) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish during the first day of the Gina Relays meet, hosted by Hillsdale College on Thursday in Hillsdale, Mich.

Downing finished fourth in the 1500-meter run in 4:41.95.  Downing's performance ranked No. 5 on the all-time Ohio Wesleyan list, according to assistant coach Ben Carlson.

Also scoring for the Bishops were sophomore Allison Dietz (Newark), who placed fifth in the 5000-meter run in 17:43.31; and sophomore Sophie Cotts (Granville), who was eighth in the 5000-meter run in 17:58.70.  Those performances ranked fourth and ninth respectively on the all-time Bishop list, according to Carlson.

Freshman Ella Chomic (Westerville/Columbus School for Girls) also represented Ohio Wesleyan, finishing ninth in the 5000-meter run in 18:10.63.

Final Results
