8th of 21 at Otterbein Twilight Invitational

Senior Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian) posted Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish in leading the Bishops at the Twilight Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University on Friday in Westerville.

Mount Union won the meet with 145½ points to 89 for Ashland.  Wright State was third with 80½ points, followed by Otterbein (77), Cedarville (72), Wilmington (54½), Wittenberg (48½), Ohio Wesleyan (28), Ohio State running club (26), Thomas More (23), Shawnee State (21), Ohio Christian (16), Ohio Dominican and Adrian (14), Ohio Northern (13), Wheeling (12), Marietta (7), Muskingum (5), Olivet (4), and Mount Vernon Nazarene and Denison (1).

James placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.60.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Aelyn Baumbarger (Marysville), who finished fourth in the 100-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter dash; sophomore Lucy Johnson (Cleveland Heights/Lawrence), who placed fifth in the 5000-meter run; sophomore Elsa Hoam (Fredericktown), who was sixth in the 3000-meter steeplechase; freshman Kennedy Elfers (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), who placed seventh in the 200-meter dash and eighth in the 400-meter dash; and freshman Laura Wagner (Akron/Revere), who finished eighth in the 5000-meter run.
