5th of 7 at Kenyon Duane Gomez Invitational

Freshman Dominic Brown (Marysville) won an event for Ohio Wesleyan at the Duane Gomez Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College on Saturday in Gambier.

Denison won the meet with 142 points to 121 for Wittenberg.  Wooster finished third with 120 points, followed by Kenyon (117), Ohio Wesleyan (55), Marietta (5), and Muskingum (3).

Brown won the javelin with a throw of 166-3 and added a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter dash.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Andrew Bentz (Marysville), who finished third in the hammer and sixth in the shot put; senior Logan McSwords (Marysville), who placed third in the javelin; sophomore Alex Bzdafka (Solon), who was third in the pole vault; freshman Tanner Sir Louis (Wadsworth), who placed fourth in the pole vault; senior Trey Good (Marysville/Milford Center Fairbanks), who was fourth in the javelin; junior Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge), who finished fifth in the javelin and sixth in the pole vault; junior Austin Roberts (Granvile), who placed seventh in the hammer; sophomore Stepan Dobrianskyi (San Antonio, Texas/Churchill), who finished seventh in the javelin; and junior Eric Schneiter (New London), who was eighth in the shot put.
