5th of 7 at Duane Gomez Invitational

Junior Claire Coleman (Cincinnati/Ursuline Academy) won an event for Ohio Wesleyan at the Duane Gomez Invitational, hosted by Kenyon College on Saturday in Gambier.

Wittenberg won the meet with 178 1/3 points to 162 1/3 for Wooster.  Kenyon was third with 134 points, followed by Denison (70 5/6), Ohio Wesleyan (49½), Marietta (10), and Muskingum (6).

Coleman won the pole vault with a mark of 11-5¾.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Addie Beck (Wadsworth), who was second in the pole vault; sophomore Alexis Eusey (Marengo/Highland), who placed second in the javelin; freshman Jera Hoy (Radnor/Buckeye Valley), who finished fourth in the shot put and the discus; junior Emma Hall (Ironton), who was fifth in the hammer; sophomore Sarah Youngquist (Cary, N.C./Athens Drive), who finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles; sophomore Jackie Rychlik (Marysville), who tied for sixth in the pole vault; freshman Abrianna Hite (Delaware/Hayes), who was seventh in the 200-meter dash; and freshman Kali Kohler (Wapakoneta), who placed eighth in the 200-meter dash and the javelin.
