Bluffton 15, Ohio Wesleyan 6

Junior first baseman Alex Snyder (Massillon/Jackson) drove in a run to give Ohio Wesleyan a 6-5 lead in the sixth inning, but Bluffton rallied for a non-conference win on Thursday at Littick Field.

Bluffton broke a 1-1 tie with single runs in the second and third and 2 runs in the fourth, getting RBI singles from Colton Rinehart and Jake McCoy and run-scoring doubles from Jack Towell and Justin Maurer.

The Bishops scored 4 times in the fifth to tie the game on a 2-run homer by sophomore third baseman Luke Johnson (Cincinnati/Batavia West Clermont) and a 2-run double by junior outfielder Colton Moone (South Vienna/Northeastern), then took the lead in the sixth as Snyder plated a run with an infield out.

The Beavers got the run back in the top of the seventh on McCoy's sacrifice fly, then took the lead on an unearned run in the eighth before tallying 8 times in the ninth, highlighted by a 3-run homer from Towell.

Senior second baseman Ryan Duckworth (Hilliard/Bradley) was 2-for-3 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Fifth-year righthander Mason Timko (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Allegheny) was the losing pitcher in relief.
