Sophomore Lily Hershey (Worthington/Kilbourne), junior Riley Brokaw (Butler/Bellville Clear Fork), and sophomore Emma Pzedpelski (Marysville) stood out for fifth-seeded Ohio Wesleyan in a loss to fourth-seeded Oberlin in a quarterfinal match of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament on Friday in Gambier.

The match was played to decision.

Oberlin swept doubles play, with the duo of Anna Pastore and Hannah Soong recording a 6-3 win over the Bishops' No. 1 team of Brokaw and Pzedpelski.  At No. 2 doubles, Hershey and sophomore Evaleigh Garnett (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) fell to Rachel Allen and Olivia Wollner, 6-1, and at No. 3 doubles, the Bishop pair of junior Maisie Dugger (Dover) and freshman Mar Pacis (Chandler, Ariz./Seton Catholic Prep) lost to Eva Lopez and Scarlett Kingston, 6-2.

Hershey lost a 6-2, 6-0 decision to Pastore at No. 1 singles, Brokaw lost by scores of 6-0, 6-1 to Allen at No. 2 singles, and Lopez defeated Garnett, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 4 singles.
