Box Score
Kenyon 14, Ohio Wesleyan 6

Senior midfielder Lindsay Wolverton (Delaware/Hayes) scored to give Ohio Wesleyan the lead early in the second half, but Kenyon tallied the next 6 goals and went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over the Bishops on Saturday in Gambier.

The Kenyon win over Ohio Wesleyan, combined with DePauw's win over Oberlin, resulted in Ohio Wesleyan, Kenyon, and DePauw finishing in a 3-way tie for third place in the NCAC standings.  DePauw and Kenyon emerged from the tie to take the final 2 spots in next week's NCAC tournament.

The Bishops built a 3-0 lead on Saturday, getting first-quarter scores from sophomore attacker Brie Colangelo (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown School) and senior attacker Casey Conklin (Marcellus, N.Y.) before junior attacker Sam Frary (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley Charter) opened up the second quarter with a goal for a 3-0 lead.

Kenyon rallied to tie the game at 3 heading into halftime, with Spencer Kirsch scoring twice during that run.

Wolverton opened the third-quarter scoring with a goal off a feed from j
unior midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto), but the Owls scored the next 6 goals, with Kirsch and Mallory Brophy each scoring twice.

Frary and senior attacker Caroline Fleming (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Fayette) rallied the Bishops to within 9-6 early in the fourth quarter, but that was as close as Ohio Wesleyan would come.  Charloette Skelly scored 4 straight goals for Kenyon to seal the outcome.

Frary led the Bishops with 2 goals.  Senior Abby Markowitz (Las Vegas, Nev./Somerset Academy) stopped 9 shots in the Bishop crease.

Senior defender Abbie Grogan (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day) collected 4 ground balls on the day.  The 4 ground balls raised Grogan's season total to 62, breaking the Ohio Wesleyan mark (2007-) of 60 Grogan set last year.
