Kohler, Hite Compete at Second Day of NCAC Heptathlon

Freshman Kali Kohler (Wapakoneta) and freshman Abrianna Hite (Delaware/Hayes) represented Ohio Wesleyan at the North Coast Athletic Conference combined-events meet, hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday and Sunday in Oberlin.

DePauw's Katie Moore won the event with 4751 points.  Kohler finished in 10th place with 3016 points and Hite placed 12th with 2811 points.

Kohler opened Sunday's competition with a pair of fifth-place finishes, turning in a 15-10½ in the long jump to score 516 points and then delivering a throw of 88-2 in the javelin to score 418 points.  On Saturday, Kohler's best finish came in the high jump, with a mark of 4-6¼ good for seventh place and 491 points.  Kohler's best point total of the day came in the 200-meter dash, with a time of:29.00 good for 554 points.

Hite finished Sunday's competition with a fifth-place showing in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:35.62 to score 624 points.  Hite's best finish on Saturday was in the 200-meter dash, in which Hite placed fifth in :27.83 and racked up 644 points.
