Denison 13, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Senior outfielder Sammy Stoner (Dublin/Jerome) singled home a run to put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard in a North Coast Athletic Conference game against fifth-ranked Denison on Wednesday in Granville.

The game was originally the nightcap of Tuesday's scheduled doubleheader at Ohio Wesleyan but was postponed because of rain, then moved to the Denison campus.

Denison struck for 6 runs in the second, getting 2-run doubles by Max Fishbein and Andrew Fazio during the inning.  A 2-run homer by Eric Colaco made it 8-0 in the fourth.

Sophomore shortstop Michael Malone (Carroll/Bloom-Carroll) led off the bottom of the sixth with a single, stole second, and scored on a single by Stoner.

The Big Red added single runs in the seventh and eighth and scored 3 more times in the ninth.

Malone was 2-for-3 and Stoner went 2-for-4 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Sophomore righthander Nathan Hurley (Delaware/Olentangy Berlin) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops.
