at NCAA Division III championship

Senior Trey Theobald (Archbold) and sophomore Connor Smith (Marysville) will represent Ohio Wesleyan at the NCAA Division III championship meet on Thursday and Friday, May 22-23, at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, it was announced on Friday by the NCAA.

Theobald will compete in the javelin, scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. 

Theobald is seeded No. 13 in the javelin with a throw of 207-11, that coming at the Spire Last Chance meet on May 12.  At the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet on May 3, Theobald won the conference championship in the event with a throw of 205-2.  Theobald won All-America honors with a second-place finish at last year's NCAA Division III championship meet.

Smith will compete in the high jump, scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday.

Smith is tied for the No. 8 seed in the high jump with a mark of 6-9½, that coming at the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet on May 3 and giving Smith the conference title in the event.
