Two Bishops Named to All-Region Women's Lacrosse Teams

Two Ohio Wesleyan University women's lacrosse players were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's All-Great Lakes Region team, it was announced today by the IWLCA.

Junior defender Abbie Grogan (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day) was a first-team all-region selection and sophomore attacker Brie Colangelo (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown School) was a second-team all-region pick.

Grogan was a starter in an Ohio Wesleyan defense that ranks third in the NCAC in goals-against average (9.81).  Individually, Grogan leads the league in caused turnovers (50) and ranks second in the NCAC in ground balls (62) and third in draw controls (100).  Grogan leads the NCAC and ranks 15th in NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game (2.94).  Grogan was a second-team all-region choice last year.

Colangelo leads the league in assists (41) and points per game (4.59), and ranks second in the NCAC in points (78) and 15th in goals (37).

Ohio Wesleyan finished with an 11-6 overall mark and tied for third place in the NCAC standings with a 3-3 record.
