Sir Louis Wins All-NCAC Honors, Men's Track & Field Fourth at NCAC

Freshman Tanner Sir Louis (Wadsworth) won All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in leading Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the NCAC championship meet, hosted by DePauw University on Friday in Greencastle, Ind.

Wabash was leading the meet with 74½ points to 48½ for Wittenberg.  Denison was in third place with 42 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (25½), Oberlin (23½), Wooster (22), DePauw (20), Kenyon (12), and Hiram (5).

Sir Louis finished second in the pole vault with a height of 14-9.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who finished sixth in the long jump; and sophomore Alex Bzdafka (Solon), who tied for seventh in the pole vault.

In preliminary action, sophomore Joel Adade (Columbus/Beechcroft) won his heat in the 100-meter dash in :10.59, the second-fastest time of the day, and qualified for the finals in the 200-meter dash.  Adade's time also broke the school record of :10.71 set by Brian Burnett in 2017.

Sophomore Dylan Harper (Marysville) won his heat in the 110-meter hurdles in :14.53, also the second-fastest clocking of the day.  Tripp qualified for the finals in the 400-meter dash and freshman Michael Hess (Painesville/Fairport Harding) qualified for the finals in the 400-meter hurdles.


The NCAC championship meet is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
