at NCAC tournament

Freshman Lexi Rush (Galion/Colonel Crawford) was leading Ohio Wesleyan after the first round of the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament, hosted by Wabash College on Friday at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Ind.

Denison was leading the field with a 323, finishing the day 9 shots ahead of DePauw.  Wooster was in third place at 329, followed by Wittenberg (341), Ohio Wesleyan (393), and Hiram (472).

Denison's Isabella Dolan held the individual lead with a 1-under 71, one shot ahead of DePauw's Becky Williams.

Rush was tied for 15th place among individuals with an 85.

Freshman Angela Soellner (Stryker) was in 20th place with a 91, freshman Audrey Nichols (Uniontown/Lake) was in 23rd place at 96, and senior Ava Kutilek (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) was in 27th place with a 121.

The second round of the NCAC tournament is scheduled for Saturday.
