CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday morning, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athletes of the Week for the second week of April. Ohio Wesleyan University sophomores
Callahan Lawler and
Audrey Nichols swept the honors for golf after competing at the Wooster Invitational.
Lawler led the men's field with a career-best two-under-par 70, earning his first career medalist honors. Nichols co-led the women's field at 84 and paced the Battling Bishops to a 19-stroke team victory at 352. The men's squad took third with a total of 309.
Lawler and the men's team will be back on the course on Sunday at the Denison Spring Shootout at the Denison Golf Club in Granville. Nichols and the women's team return to action on Sunday and Monday at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational hosted by Wooster in Wooster at the Wooster Country Club.
Lawler and Nichols are the 25th and 26th NCAC Athletes of the Week for Ohio Wesleyan this academic year.
