HARROD, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a pair of events on Sunday and Monday, hosted by Ohio Northern. The Batting Bishops played in the ONU Kickoff Classic on Sunday followed by the Joe Campoli Classic on Monday, finishing seventh in each 10-team field.
ONU KICKOFF CLASSIC
The Bishops put up a score of 385 on Sunday, led by
Audrey Nichols in 16th place with 88 strokes.
Lexi Rush was next to finish with 95 strokes.
Samantha Mazotas came third on the team with a score of 98, finishing tied for 33rd overall.
Kallie Yeager rounded out the OWU team scorecard with a 104 in her first round of collegiate golf, finishing tied for 39th.
Angela Soellner shot 112 and finished 48th.
JOE CAMPOLI CLASSIC
The Red and Black fared far better on Monday, dropping 20 strokes as a team to score 365.
Audrey Nichols again led the way with a top-10 finish overall, tying for ninth at 82 strokes – one off of her lowest career round.
Lexi Rush took second on the team with a score of 87 and finished tied for 20th.
Angela Soellner recorded a 96 to finish tied for 35th.
Samantha Mazotas and
Kallie Yeager split the fourth and final spot in the team score with 100s, finishing tied for 41st.
UP NEXT
Ohio Wesleyan will be back in action next Sunday and Monday at the Jimmy Hanlin Collegiate Invitational, again hosted by ONU but this time in the Cleveland area.
