Biography
2018: Member of men’s track & field team...lettered during both indoor and outdoor seasons.
- Won shot put with throw of 50-10¼ and added sixth-place finish in weight throw at Case Reserve Spartan Holiday Classic Dec. 2.
- Named North Coast Athletic Conference Field Events Athlete of Week after his performance at Spartan Holiday Classic.
- Won shot put (49-2½) and weight throw (48-¾) at Wooster Indoor Quad Jan. 20.
- Finished second in shot put and 13th in weight throw at Spire Midwest Open Jan. 27.
- Named North Coast Athletic Conference Field Events Athlete of Week after his performance at Spire Midwest Open.
- Placed third in weight throw at Denison Bob Shannon Invitational Feb. 3.
- Won All-Ohio title in shot put with throw of 53-11¾ at All-Ohio championship meet Feb. 10.
- Finished sixth in shot put at Findlay Meet for Everyone Feb. 16.
- Placed fifth in weight throw at Denison Last Chance meet Feb. 23.
- Won NCAC title in shot put with throw of 53-5¾ at NCAC championship March 2-3...defeated his nearest competitor by more than 5 feet...also finished sixth in weight throw...helped Bishops win team title.
- Finished ninth in shot put at NCAA Division III championship March 10...his throw of 52-1½ missed the last spot in the finals by a margin of 4 inches.
- Won shot put with throw of 48-7½ at Lynchburg Dr. Jack Toms Alumni Invitational March 23...also finished sixth in hammer.
- Placed third in shot put and fourth in discus at Cedarville Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open March 31.
- Named NCAC Field Events Athlete of Week after his efforts at the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open.
- Won All-Ohio honors with second in shot put and third in discus at All-Ohio championship April 14...helped Bishops win team title.
- Won shot put (54-8¾) and placed third in discus at Baldwin Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational April 21.
- Named NCAC Field Events Athlete of Week after his efforts at the Baldwin Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational.
- Won shot put with throw of 51-5½ and finished second in discus at Denison Big Red Invitational April 27.
- Named Newcomer of Year at NCAC championship May 4-5...won discus (152-3) and shot put (49-10)...helped Bishops win team title.
- Finished ninth in shot put at NCAA Division III championship May 25...missed All-America honors by less than 2 inches.
High School: Lettered thrice in track & field and once in football.
- Helped track & field team win state championship.
