Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Stew Clinger is in his seventh season as an assistant baseball coach at Ohio Wesleyan.  He coaches the Battling Bishop catchers.

Clinger served as hitting and outfield coach for the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League for 2 seasons, working with players on adjusting from aluminum to wooden bats.  He helped the Cows finish as league runner-up in 2007.

He began his coaching career in 1993 in American Legion baseball.

Clinger is a 1984 graduate of Franklin (Ind.) University.  He played soccer at Virginia Military Institute before finishing his degree at Franklin.

He is a native of Canal Winchester, Ohio.
