Roisin Dougherty begins her fifth season as assistant coach of the Ohio Wesleyan University field hockey team.
Dougherty came to Ohio Wesleyan from The Newman (Mass.) School, where she was an assistant coach for girls basketball, girls lacrosse, and boys lacrosse while serving as a teaching intern during the 2017-18 academic year. She was an assistant field hockey coach and the goalkeeping coach at The Hun School of Princeton (N.J.) during the 2015-16 seasons.
She is a 2017 graduate of The College of New Jersey, where she was a member of the field hockey team for 3 seasons. As a freshman, she won the starting goalkeeper spot in midseason, starting the team's final 19 games as the Lions went on to win the New Jersey Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III championships. During that run, she compiled 7 shutouts, was twice named NJAC Rookie of the Week, and was selected as an ECAC Defensive Player of the Week. She majored in health and physical education at TCNJ, making the Dean's List in 3 semesters.
Dougherty is a native of Ocean City, N.J.
