Scott Cooper is in his second season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Cooper came to Ohio Wesleyan from Aldersson-Broaddus College, where he was an assistant men’s basketball coach during the 2010-11 season.
During the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons, Cooper returned to his alma mater of Allegheny College, where he served as an assistant men’s basketball coach, helping the team jump from seventh to third in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings.
Cooper began his coaching career at Alfred University. He spent 6 seasons at Alfred, helping the Saxons record a 10-game improvement in 2004-05, the biggest jump in Division III that season.
During his Allegheny playing career, Cooper was a 3-year starter in men's basketball. He helped the Gators advance to the NCAA Division III tournament his freshman year.
Cooper majored in mathematics and minored in psychology at Allegheny. He is a native of Wooster, Ohio.
