Keith Long


Keith Long is in his first season as a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's lacrosse coaching staff.

Long comes to Ohio Wesleyan after serving as offensive coordinator at DePauw University for one season.  While at DePauw, he assisted with recruiting and player development, managed the substitution box, and oversaw academic study halls.

Prior to DePauw, Long was an assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute for one season.  He assisted with coordinating the offense, recruiting, and developing practice plans and game strategies, as well as monitoring athletic study hall sessions.

Long is a 2012 graduate of VMI, earning a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics with a concentration in business finance.  He was a 4-year letterman for the Keydets, serving as co-captain his junior year.  He won first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference honors and was named the Keydets' Offensive Most Valuable Player during his senior season after leading the team in goals, assists, and total points.

Following his senior season, he was selected second overall by the Rochester Rattlers in the 2012 Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft.  Long spent 2 seasons with the Rattlers and is still pursuing a professional playing career.  Away from the field, Long served as a YoungLife Youth Ministries counselor, organizing activities and leading group discussions for youths aged 14-18.  In addition, he assisted with the Falls Church High School boys lacrosse team and conducted private lessons for youth athletes.
