Kevin McDonough begins his second season as an assistant coach of the Ohio Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team.
McDonough came to Ohio Wesleyan from Frostburg (Md.) State University, where he spent 3 seasons as an assistant coach. He was the lead assistant for the Bobcats during those 3 seasons, serving as defensive coordinator, box coach, and face-off coach. At Frostburg State, he had a face-off specialist lead NCAA Division III in face-off percentage and coached All-Americans at both goalkeeper and face-off specialist.
He is a 2015 graduate of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, where he was a 3-year starter on the Retriever defense as a defensive midfielder, serving as team captain for 2 years. McDonough began his collegiate career at Binghamton University, where he earned a starting spot as a freshman. He majored in history at UMBC and continued his education at Frostburg State, earning a master of education degree.
McDonough is a native of Oakdale, N.Y.
