Zach Burkhardt is in his first season as a member of the Ohio Wesleyan men's lacrosse coaching staff.
Burkhardt came to Ohio Wesleyan after serving as defensive coordinator and strength coach at the University of Mount Union during the 2016 season. His defense helped Mount Union improve by 4 wins over the previous season.
He began his coaching career withe Endless Lacrosse Club in Essex, Md., serving as defensive coordinator for the club's U-15 team.
Burkhardt is a 2015 graduate of Frostburg State University, where he played lacrosse for 4 years. He won All-Capital Athletic Conference honors 3 times, including one first-team citation, and was an honorable mention All-America selection and a Scholar All-America honoree by the USILA after his senior season. He served as team captain for 3 years and also received second team Mid-Atlantic All-Star honors.
He is a native of Baltimore, Md.
