Ethan Rich

Ethan Rich is in his fourth season as a member of the Ohio Wesleyan track & field coaching staff.

Rich came to Ohio Wesleyan after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Southern Mississippi during the 2015-16 academic year.  He also trained with the American Big Guys Throws Club, developing and implementing a new strength and conditioning program to strengthen his technique while attempting to reach the U.S. Olympic trials in the javelin.  Rich also served as a volunteer assistant throws coach at Spanish Fort High School in Spanish Fort, Ala.

He earned his UASTF level one coaching certification in August 2015.

Rich is a 2014 graduate of Southern Mississippi, earning a bachelor's degree in sports management.  During his career with the Golden Eagles, he was a 3-time qualifier for the NCAA East Regional meet, and finished as the bronze medalist in the javelin at the Conference USA outdoor track & field championship in 2013.  Rich continued his education by earning a master's degree in sports management in 2016.
