Quinton Harley begins his second season as an assistant coach of the Ohio Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country and track & field teams. In track & field, he will coach the horizontal jumps and the hurdle events.
Harley came to Ohio Wesleyan from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he was a graduate assistant for 2 seasons. He was an assistant track & field coach at Adrian College under Ben Carlson during the 2015-16 academic year, and served a year as an assistant cross country and track & field coach at Xavier (La.) University, helping the Gold Rush win Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championships in both men's and women's cross country as well as women's outdoor track & field. Harley began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at East Carolina University.
He is a 2013 graduate of East Carolina, where he won honorable mention All-America honors in the 400-meter hurdles, won Conference USA titles in the 400-meter hurdles and as a member of the 400-meter relay team, was a 2-time NCAA East Regional qualifier, and helped the 1600-meter relay team win a Penn Relays championship. Harley began his collegiate career at Lake Erie College, where he won NCAA Division II All-America honors as a member of the 1600-meter relay team, and won a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title in the 400-meter hurdles. He majored in sports studies at East Carolina and continued his education with a master of arts in education degree from Nebraska-Kearney.
