Tanya Hatton is in her first season as assistant softball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Hatton comes to Ohio Wesleyan from Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University, where she was a graduate assistant coach for 2 seasons, helping the Bearcats win 6 of their last 7 games before the remainder of the 2020 season was canceled.
She is a 2018 graduate of Houghton (N.Y.) College, majoring in business administration. Hatton played softball and field hockey at Houghton, leading Highlander pitchers in strikeouts as a senior. In field hockey, she led the team in scoring on the way to honorable mention all-conference honors in 2016. She continued her education by earning a master's in business administration degree from Southwest Baptist in 2020.
Hatton is a native of Greene, N.Y.
