Michelle Parish is in her seventh season as women's tennis coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Last year, Ohio Wesleyan went 5-11 overall and finished sixth in the North Coast Athletic Conference final standings.
The 2009 Bishops compiled an overall record of 10-9 and finished sixth in the NCAC tournament.
In 2008, the Bishops bounced back from a loss in the quarterfinals to win out and place fifth in the NCAC championship tournament. Ohio Wesleyan finished with an overall record of 8-11.
The 2007 Bishops finished third in the NCAC tournament, capping a season in which they went 10-8 overall, including a 4-2 mark against NCAC opponents.
In 2006, Parish guided the Battling Bishops to a 12-8 overall record, including a 4-2 mark against NCAC foes. Ohio Wesleyan finished fourth in the NCAC tournament.
Parish attended The Ohio State University on a full athletic scholarship and lettered 4 times in tennis. She played No. 1 singles and doubles during her junior and senior seasons and was named Big 10 Sportswoman of the Year as a senior. She was a 3-time Academic All-Big 10 selection and received a B.A. in psychology in 1995 and an M.A. in exercise physiology in 2000.
Parish has instructed at the Olympic Indoor Club in Columbus since 1995 and also teaches at Northam Park in Upper Arlington. She began her coaching career in 1997 as junior varsity girls coach at Columbus Academy and served as girls coach at Marion Pleasant High School for 4 years. She also serves as director of the Bernard Master Jr. Satellite Circuit, a Columbus junior tournament for boys and girls.
Parish is a native of Kettering, Ohio.
