Robert Swanger

Bob Swanger is in his fourth season as an assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.  He works with the Bishops on player development, evaluating ability, mental strategies, and game management. 

He is a 1981 graduate of Wilmington College, where he won 4 letters in tennis, playing No. 1 singles and doubles for the Quakers.  He was an all-conference and all-district selection and was a 3-time selection as the team's Most Valuable Player.  Swanger continued his playing career after graduation, winning Ashland County titles in singles and doubles and teaming with his father to win a Father/Son doubles championship in Columbus.

Swanger continued his education with a master's of divinity and a doctorate of ministry from the Ashland Theological Seminary in 1983 and 1989 respectively.

He is a native of Columbus.
