Emily Amburgey is in her first season as a track & field intern coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Amburgey was a 3-time All-America selection in the high jump during her Battling Bishop career. She qualified for the NCAA championship meet 6 times in the event. Amburgey won 4 North Coast Athletic Conference championships in the high jump, pentathlon, and long jump. She was named NCAC Field Event performer of the Year at the 2013 indoor championship meet, and was a 22-time All-NCAC honoree, including 2 all-conference citations as a member of relay teams. Amburgey holds the Ohio Wesleyan record in the pentathlon and was a member of the school-record-setting 400-meter relay team in 2013.
She majored in sociology and women's and gender studies at Ohio Wesleyan. Amburgey is a native of Germantown, Ohio.
