Zach Yerington is in his second season as an assistant volleyball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Yerington came to Ohio Wesleyan from Advancement Academy in Lewis Center, Ohio, where he was head coach of the girls U14 Shamrock national team since January 2019. While at Advancement Academy, he took a team to the USAV junior nationals for the first time in club history. He also was an assistant coach for the girls U17 Green national team, which recorded a top-10 finish at USAV junior nationals.
He also has coaching experience as head boys junior varsity coach at Upper Arlington High School.
Yerington is a 2019 graduate of The Ohio State University, earning a degree in human ecology. At Ohio State, he helped the Buckeyes win NCAA Division I championships in 2016 and 2017 before playing 2 seasons as a member of the men's club team. He concluded his collegiate playing career at Daemen (N.Y.) College while completing a master's certification in leadership, earning first-team Independent Conference honors in 2020.
