Amaya Smith is in her third season as assistant coach of the Ohio Wesleyan University volleyball team.
Smith came to Ohio Wesleyan from Dublin Coffman High School, where she coached the Shamrock freshman team and served as an assistant on the varsity team during the 2022 season. Smith also has coached at the Mintonette Volleyball Club, where she served as head coach of girls volleyball teams that compete at the national and regional levels for 2 years.
She is a 2023 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in education with a specialization in sport industry. During her Buckeye career, Smith was a member of the women's rowing team and worked as a recruitment host for the Ohio State football team.
Smith is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Tree of Life Christian School.
