Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Erik Richards is in his first season as diving coach at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2026-27.

Richards is a local to the city of Delaware where he has coached for the Delaware DARTS for the past 11 years. He recently moved back to Delaware for a full time career at Preservation Parks of Delaware County after a six-year tenure coaching for Ohio Northern University.

At ONU he made two appearances to NCAA Division III championships in 2022 and 2024. Richards coached four straight Ohio Athletic Conference Divers of the Year from 2021 to 2024 and was a three-time member of the OAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021, 2025, and 2026.

Richards, a native of Delaware, is thrilled to be back in his hometown, coaching in the same pool where he dove for the Delaware Hayes Pacers.
