Jeremy Carper

Jeremy Carper enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Ohio Wesleyan University baseball program, bringing energy and expertise to multiple facets of the game. Carper plays a key role in developing the Bishops’ outfield unit, refining infield defense, and advancing base-running strategies. He also works closely with the team’s catchers and serves as the first base coach during games, providing real-time guidance and motivation.

Before joining Ohio Wesleyan, Carper built a strong coaching foundation at Thomas Worthington High School, where he led the junior varsity A team to a 12-7 record in his first season as head coach. His experience includes assisting the freshman and varsity programs, focusing on defensive fundamentals and overall player development. Beyond the high school level, Carper has been instrumental in shaping young talent through travel baseball, serving as head coach for the Boss Aces 16U fall team and the Columbus Cobras Carper 16U and 17U summer teams.

Carper’s commitment to leadership and growth extends beyond the diamond. A 2013 graduate of Notre Dame College (Ohio), he earned a degree in sports management with a minor in coaching while competing as an infielder for the Falcons. He further enhanced his leadership skills through The Rising Leaders Program at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2016 and recently completed his master’s degree in leadership with a concentration in business administration at Ohio Christian University in January 2026.

A Columbus native and Grove City High School alumnus, Carper is passionate about developing athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of accountability, resilience, and excellence.
