Ohio Wesleyan University senior Sarah Bechtel (Bellefontaine) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 20, it was announced by the NCAC.

Bechtel, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Field Event Performer of the Week.

Bechtel won the pole vault by clearing 11-5¾ and added a second in the long jump to help the Ohio Wesleyan women win the team title at the OWU Triangular on Friday.
