Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Abbey Warth (Massillon/Tuslaw) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 10, it was announced by the NCAC.
Warth, a member of the Ohio Wesleyan women's track & field team, was named Women's Distance Runner of the Week.
Warth was part of the Ohio Wesleyan distance medley relay team that set a school record at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic on Friday. The Bishop quartet finished fifth in 12:02.77, breaking the school record of 12:15.53 set by Catie Coleman, Kara Reiter, Sarah Shinn, and Claire Everhart in 2007. The time also was the second-fastest in NCAA Division III this season and established an Ohio Division III record.
