Major: Pre-medicine and Genetics

How/Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan because of their outstanding academics and science programs, the sense of community on campus, and my welcoming basketball coaches and teammates.
How/Why did you choose your major?
I chose to major in pre-medicine and genetics because I have plans on applying to medical school and I am very interested in the idea of CRISPR-Cas9, or being able to genetically edit genome/DNA.
Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan because I knew that my academics would always be a priority, but I would still be able to compete at a high level.
What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
My favorite memory on the basketball team would be when we beat Wittenberg last year in overtime!
What athletic or academic achievement/accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of making the Dean’s List last semester.
What did you do to put yourself in that position to achieve that goal/accomplishment?
In order to reach that accomplishment, I made sure that academics were a priority, I went into office hours when I needed help, and peer studied with classmates before exams.
Which three people living or dead would you share a meal with?
Ariana Grande, Michelle Obama, and Albert Einstein.

When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
I use singing as a form of therapy.
