You always need to put in the work on and off the field.  It's not going to just come to you....

Name:  Jaggar Brooker

Class year:  2024

Major:  Sports and exercise management

Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose OWU because of the small classroom size and the men's soccer program's history.

Why did you choose your major?
I have been working and training kids since high school and thought about going to coach someday.

Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
The OWU men's soccer program has the history of competing for national championships every year.

What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
Beating Kenyon in the NCAC tournament championship game (in 2022).

Why do you like your position?
I like my position because I'm able to attack and score goals against other teams.

What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
As a team we always have the goal to compete for a national title.

Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
Jay (Martin) has been a great influence for me on and off the field.  He's taught so many players "life lessons" throughout his coaching here at OWU and has helped me become better overall as a person.

What are your plans for after graduation?
I'm still unsure.  I hope to continue teaching soccer to young kids and hopefully still play as much as I can.

Which reality show would you like to star on and why?
I'd try and star on "Survivor" to win a million dollars.

If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would want to visit the '90s for the music.

What is your favorite place that you have traveled to as an OWU student-athlete?
Germany, it was a chance of a lifetime to see what another country has to offer as well as competing in another country with all my teammates.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a student-athlete?
You always need to put in the work on and off the field.  It's not going to just come to you.  It's an honor to play a sport in college and I am thankful for my coaching staff and the OWU staff and administrators for giving me this opportunity.
