...have persistence through your journey because there will be good times and difficult times throughout your career.

Name:  Caden Calhoun

Class year:  2023 (graduating in December)

Major:  Business administration

Why did you choose your major?
I want to own my own business in the future.

Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
Listening to the "Rocky" soundtrack pregame and praying before hitting the field.

What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
I am a leader on and off the field.  I am very solid in all aspects of playing wide receiver (speed, strength, quickness, catching).  I do whatever it takes to win.

Is there a specific coach or teammate who has helped you get where you are?
My dad has been my coach growing up and has a huge influence on my life.  He has been an outstanding role model and leader in my life.  He and my mom have shaped me into the person I am today and I love them more than anything.

What are your plans for after graduation?
I am working on landing a sales job in the sporting industry, and eventually want to own my own business and step foot into the real estate world.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?
Telepathy (mind reading and manipulating)

What is your favorite place to eat in Delaware, and what is your go-to dish there?
Crumbl Cookie, the brookie (half chocolate chip cookie, half brownie)

What is your theme song?
"Family Tradition" by Hank Williams Jr.

If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I would travel back to 2010 and invest everything I have into Tesla stock and become a millionaire.

What is your favorite place that you have traveled to as an OWU student-athlete?
Barcelona, Spain.  We took a team trip to Spain and played a football game there this past spring.  I enjoyed being with my family and friends, the food, the scenery and history, and the night life.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a student-athlete?
You must love every aspect of the game to enjoy your time playing at the collegiate level.  Once you get to college, have persistence through your journey because there will be good times and difficult times throughout your career.
